we bring women together through boxing.

We welcome all women to our classes and programmes across London, whilst championing survivors of abuse to reclaim their power.

Fight Forward was founded in 2022 by Lesley Sackey, a former GB boxer and gold medallist. Motivated by her own experience of domestic abuse, Lesley set out to help other survivors reclaim their strength and voice through boxing.

Her approach is deliberately disruptive: using boxing – often seen as a violent sport – to help women who've experienced violence heal, reconnect with their bodies, and find community.

A trailblazer in the sport, Lesley became the first British woman to win gold at the EU Championships in 2008, and went on to represent Great Britain on the international stage.

WHY BOXING?

Boxing teaches you to take up space – to stand tall, move with confidence, and own your power. For women who've experienced abuse, it's a way to reconnect with your body and take back control.

‘Fight Forward helps women reclaim control over their bodies and voices, process trauma through movement, and find healing through community.’
